Grips?

I am looking to buy new grips or just keep the stock grips and replace the bar ends. Does anyone have billet grips without rubber? and if so how is the vibration? my hands sometimes go numb on long rides and was wondering what is the best grip to stop the vibration?

Progrip 761
It's a sport touring gel grip, and listed as a scooter grip now.
They are a larger diameter in the center and taper down towards the edges.
They aren't rock hard or soft and squishy either, it's a happy medium.
Here's an old pic(hadn't put the throttle grip on yet). They aren't stock bars pictured but the grips will fit stock bars.
They have made a big difference in hand comfort for me. At around $25 they are cheap enough to try.
Also, the larger and heavier the bar end, the less vibration you will have.
The more vibration you have the more your hands will feel numb.
Grips are a personal preference, but I doubt the aluminum grips will help you at all. I've ridden bikes with them and you can feel alot more vibration with them. As well as being solid and having no cushion or give at all.

Here's a link to them on their website too. I'm also not the only one using these on a busa, as BigE recommended them to me. Money well spent!:beerchug:

If you want billet, although that's a completely different direction than vibration dampening issues, here are some options:

Ask 5 people on this one, you will get 5 answers. I've had the Harris Busa Grips on both of my Busa's, not sure if they make them anymore, really had to hunt for them the 2nd time around. No issues with my hands though, even with 16 hr days in the saddle.

Love the Harris grips. Same ones as Tim has. No problems with vibrations.

I have chrome billet grips and the vibration is not bad to me. However, I always ride with gloves.

How far do you ride with those billet grips? Thats the question....if you are just cruising around town or zipping over to the next city i dont see them really making a difference gloves or not. But an all day ride you will definitely notice gripping metal all day:whistle:
