Group Buy - Grab Handle Spacers

I posted earlier about the short spacers that are require to install the cowl:

Cowl installation | Gen 3 Busa Information

It’s not a simple swap to put the long spacers back in order reattach the grab handle because of all the plastic that has to be removed to swap the spacers:

The spacers have an M8 bore and are 16mm OD.

Two bushings would be required to make up the difference in height: M8 bore, 11mm tall and 16mm OD.

I can get these made in a batch to reduce the cost of materials.

Who’s interested in a pair of bushings so you can reattach the grab handle without taking off any bodywork?

i am in, let me know if this can be shipped to the US and how to pay you.

I am down. this is for us to be able to install the cowl and still have the handlebar attached ?
No, this will just let you reattach the grab bar under the pillion seat once you’ve converted the tail to fit the cowl.

Of course it you want to modify the plastic cowl, anything is possible.

Everyone has to pull the grab handle to secure the cowl. The spacers must be swapped to keep the plastic parts from vibrating.

If you want to reattach the grab handle after the swap, the longer spacers have to go back in which is a pain so I came up with the idea that a machined bushing would allow you to swap the grab handle back with ease…

The pillion and cowl are interchangeable but the grab handle is spacer specific.

Since i am heading down the rabbit hole on this - sure I would like to get a set set - with these I will then be able to switch between cowl or seat without changing anything else? My plan is to have the Cowl ground down so I can merely toss the seat or the cowl by use of the key only - I believe these spacers would allow for that?

Hello all, I had the same dilemma and it is simpler then thoughts...
YOU DO NOT have to remove the faring, nor change the spacer. NOT REQUIRED.
You can just remove the grab handler and re-screw the OEM screws in there, and you can always just swap between the seat and cowl and or re-install the g4ab handler...
NO VIBRATION, no space issue, no NOTHING.. try and lets us know...I installed mine yesterday and all fine.

Not true and no need.
The OEM screws will hold the plastic TIDE as before...
Tried and function perfectly well.
Thanks

Why not just order a pair of M8, 16mm OD, 11m long in 18-8 stainless from McMaster?

I removed my grab handle, swapped my spacers out and put on the cowl last weekend. I did not have to remove the tail, just bend the tabs up enough to slide the old spacer out and short one in.
