gsxr 1000,GONNA GIVE BUSA RUN FOR THE MONEY??????

i recently just saw the superbike mag with the two up riding sht. i read about the new 1000 comin out. yeah its gonna eat the R1 probably. but a claimed 190mph straight? what happened to the busa. did they give up on us. i want to know. is that thing really gonna give us a " run for the money." i dont think they would really make it faster than their "prize bike" but you never know????

Top end wont mean much, it will be geared like the R1 which is 16/44.

I haven't read much about the new bike. but i do know that with all the speed restrictions i doubt it.

I bet the new GSXR1000 will set a new quarter mile record, maybe a tenth quicker than the busa, but will only have top end of about 185. In other words the the 1000 will go head to head with the 1300 up to about 125 and then the busa will motor away, as in motor away to 190+ with its superior torque curve. My thoughts no rumors.

it probably wont touch a tuned bus..actually about the record i kind of doubt it. it will most likely be pretty "flighty" like the R1.
the main reason the bus is so good is because the fker wont come up when racing!!!!!

You heard it here first. 138-142rwhp. 375lbs dry weight. Stone stock on a good day/rider it will go high 9's in the 1/4. Top speed will be high 170's, maybe 180. If I'm wrong on 2 out of 4 of these predictions, I'll buy the first one to email me this cut and pasted.

hell, if a 175 hp zx-12 has trouble beating a busa, then you can dam sure believe a 140 hp short wheel based gsxr 1000 wont touch it in the quarter mile (or top end, for that matter), equal riders. we have a few 150 rwhp r-1's in this area that usually run 10.0's@140-142 with pretty good riders on them...to short, to much hp.

Dont matter, thats not what I'm buyin one for. I wanna get my elbow down at 160.
It wont be flighty at all. The 750 is already the king of the track over every other bike in the literclass. No flightyness on that badboy. The 1000 will have some serious suspension, showa up front and superbike type shock out back, insane brakes are an absolute must so you know she'll send you to china at 100+, wheelbase will be longer than the 750 via longer arm for even more stability. Lighter than the 929? At least 5rwhp more than the R1? It better!
