Yeah, I'd rather see him run a busa too. (btw, I don't know either of them - personally) From the other posts by the Viper driver, he's pretty secretive about what the motor is making. He said his low boost setting is 10lbs. which equates to 780 rwhp / 880 rwtq. Some of the Heffner twin turbo packages are putting out 1300hp. They had one (street car) turn an 8.75 1/4!

Everyone knows that a stock 1000 or Busa will smoke any stock Viper. This Idiot with the Viper has spent who knows how much $$$, and has doubled his HP output and is braggin' about racing what is basicly a stock 1000. The slip on muffler won't add any more than 2-3 HP . What a frickin' clown this guy is

no props to the viper or his 'braggin'. it's like a heavily modded pinto, civic, focus, etc., beating a stock viper. apples vs. oranges so not very impressive imo.

I think it's a compliment that the measure of success is beating a stock bike. Not a lot of street cars can do that for any price.

Can only access the last link cause im at work...so a gsxr will pull a busa from 70-170

....intersting. I thought thats when we started reeling them in. Hell i'll run against him from 70 to 170. Im one of the hard heads how dont believe shid stinks

This Viper = ?guessing 9.2 - 9.8, unless it's 1200/1200, then 8.7s
Stock GSXR1000 = 9.6 - 10.2

The builder of the car posted on suzukihayabusa.org and mentions that his twin turbo 1200rwhp/1200rwtq package has turned 8.75 quarters. He also says the bike called him out, rather than the other way around.

So how much has this guy spent to lower his ET about 2.5 seconds  

 30K+ on the motor and another 10-20K on brakes, suspension, and tires + wheels....I think for 10k or  less the 1000 could lower its ET by 2.5 seconds.

So where does this leave us....the 1000 wins in the 1/4 by 1-2 seconds and has an extra 30-40K in his pocket

I think the whole thing was a set up just so this guy could get his r$$k$ o$$ later when he watched the video. I read one of his posts that the guy he raced was one of his buddies that he use to ride with.
