gsxr 600 muffler question

A buddy of mine wrecked his 05 gsxr600, it messed up the slipon and the end of the mid pipe that bolts to the slip on. Is there anyway to make the 06 muffler work, or what would be another good idea to replace the midpipe and slipon?

The 06 has a completely different exhaust system, and for that matter, is a completely new bike. I believe the exhaust on the 04-05 GSXR600 and 04-05 GSXR750 are the same so you could use parts from either bike. Now would be a great time to upgrade to a full system, like a M4 or Yoshimura. I'm sure you could find a decent replacement on Ebay for super cheap.
