GSXR-750 1/4 times?

I was at the shop finally picking up my bike last night. Before I even had the papers finalized some guy comes up saying "good luck" with the bike, it handles like a pig and it will only go 10 mph faster than my 750. He has a stock GSXR-750 and says he ran it last weekend and ran mid 9's in the quarter. At first I tried reasoning with him, but he had no clue. He swore that the top speed any mag had tested the busa at was 182. This is how full of it he was, he said his bike could run past a busa 0-60! Faster than 2.5 seconds! I can't believe the bike attracted that kind of sh_t before I even had it out the door. Do all of you have this problem or do most realize they should just bow down to the king?

I own both bikes, for different applications. Have run both in the 1/4 mi. I weigh 220. My Busa was 10 mph faster, and 3/4 sec. quicker et. If that guy was running mid 9's, it sure wasn't with a stock 750. Same type of rider, and mods would put Busa into the high 8's.......................... '00 GSXR 750's have been having tranny problems. I've seen this locally, and on the net. My 750 is still in the shop for warranty work, for bent shift fork, and dinged up 2nd and 3rd gear. It has only 1200 miles on it, and I haven't missed any shifts. It was lurching after it was already in gear. Have drag raced Busa for a year + , and tranny has been flawless.
