anybody done this and add slip ons and a dyno tune to factory header??? WHat kinda numbers???I bet its better than most people would think.
 
Numbers increase may not be worth the cost of the tune and dyno run. But you have sparked my curiosity, I always thought the after market full exhaust were larger pipes all the way back from the head on and that was the reason for the slight increase in hp after the tune.
 
on the hayabusa, u dont need a tune after gutting the cat. only if u CHANGE the hole exhaust. BUT u do gain some bottom end from gutting the cat.
 
you can pick up a whole lot from this if you want.

Holesawing the stock cans costs 10 bucks for a holesaw bit or you can borrow one from a buddy. Takes 5 minutes per can. If you want to get fancy and take all the guts out, plan on a LOT more effort but it's free.

I'd guess it's in the 6hp range for gutted cans and cat, there's more in there if you want it but it takes a lot more time.

If you are not going to dyno afterwards, just run a holesaw through the cans and call it good. Gutting the cats and NOT tuning will not be worth the effort.
