Had my Busa Lowered

Ordered the lowering kit from soupys Monday and the product arrived 5 day later well with Thanksgiving Holiday that was a great order process turn around. Saturday, I decided and tackled the job. I thought it was simply as removing the nuts and bolt holding the OEM links but to gain access I removed the lower fairing covering that particular area. I also ended removing both exhaust. After removing the needed parts to gain access it was a breeze removing and installing the lowering links. I measured the height prior to and used that measurement as the starting point and had my busa lowered two inches down. The front was not as labor intense as the rear. I just supported the front with a makeshift sling attached to my shed's roof and had the front end lowered to an inch. I had the chance to try it out this morning on my way to work and I truly like the idea of having both my feet flat on the ground while at a stop. I was able to back in to park my busa without dismounting while before it was impossible task to perform since I tip toe and does not have enough force to push her back to park. In essence, this mod works well for my application. Thank you for all the information that members of this forum have shared that relate to this subject. Sorry did not have a chance to take before and after photo. I will take a picture when I get the chance to do it.

Thats real cool dude. I remember when I lowered mine feels like yesterday. Matter a fact dont some of you guys wish you can start your mods all over from the begining. Especially when there's nothing to do. I know I do.

Does that make your cornering feel different? I have heard that it's harder to get a bike leaned over after it's been lowered. ???

Be careful with the kickstand, it can fall over very easy... get a adjustable one, if you havent already...

What did you use to lower the front ???

I used the $18 spacers from soupy. Before I loosen the bolts holding the fork, I went ahead and installed these spacers then I supported the front end and loosen the bolts. It was a easy task to perform and I truly like it.

I didn't notice much different leaning the bike on corners but then again I mainly use my busa as a commuter 90 percent freeway and few not so hard core twisty.
