Can anyone experienced in changing these little rubber monsters give me some tips on how to put them on so I wont ruin another set of Harris grips?

Thanks all!

Use some good ole spit or H2O to get'em to slide on easy. What are Harris gripz?

I got a set of the Harris Ariete (?) grips which are selling on EBay. You know, the one's with the Kanji symbol and "Busa" scribbled on it?

They suck though!

Anyway, the air compressor idea with the H20 may work good! I gotta get a new set of grips though.

Thanks dudes.

I took the bars completely off and stuck the bars and grips in a pot of boiling water and let em soak till the glue warmed up and slid them off

I thought the brotha had a problem getting them on?

Use some good ole spit or H2O to get'em to slide on easy. If your trying to get them off use a heat gun if glue is holding them on.

I really like my BUSA grips. I didn't use the alcohol like the directions said to. The left one was easy, I cleaned the bar off really good and then sprayed hair spray onto the bar. Then slid the grip right on. The throttle was a little more involved. I removed the old grip and then trimmed the outer ring on the throttle. Once I had that trimmed up and even, I sprayed that with hair spray and then I tapped it on with a dead blow mallet. Took about 4 taps and it was all the way on. I tapped that one on because I was not going to be able to twist and move that one around if it wasn't straight. That is my .02. Hope it helps.

I just spray a light amount of WD-40 inside the grip and slide it on. Let it sit overnight, so the kerosene in the WD40 evaporates and they always stay put. I also use the WD40 to remove 'em by raising the old grip a little and spraying under the grip and twisting to get a little movement. They slide right off.
