Looking for pros and cons on these lifts. I know both are good quality and wouldn't be disappointed with either.
The Pro cycle looks nice (a little cheaper) but the diamond plate has me worried. Has anyone had a problem putting the bike on a rear stand?

Thanks

i have a pro cycle only one thing i dont like is the latch doesnt lock it's self up when lowering the lift like the handy the diamond plate on it it nice more traction

Go with the Handy

Just what I was wanting to hear.... I think I'm pretty set in purchasing a Pro-cycle lift.

Iv'e had a Pro Cycle lift for two years at home and use a Handy at work. You will be happy with either one

(mjrfd99 @ Sep. 22 2007,08:04) Got the T-rex F+R on E-bay shipped for $108  I thought they were a great deal and they work great.
Not stands...... These are lifts

I know the thread topic said Handy or Pro Lift but, I have to throw this in here. You guys are looking at lifts that are ~$600. I have found a lift at Harbor Freight tools with nearly the exact same specs as the pro lift and the handy for a little less than $400. Now if I owned a motorcycle shop and could write the lift off, I would have a Handy or a Pro Lift for no other reason than name recognition for my customers.

For personal use I will have one of the Central Hydraulic lifts from Harbor Freight for $379.

Just wanted to put that out there.

Harbor freight also pretty regularly offers 15% off any item coupons... might be in store only however (not sure if you can buy the lift from a store or just order online).

Ahhhhhh, gotcha.
In todays sunday paper the pep boys ad listed a lift for $219.00. (after rebate) I'm tempted to go check it out. It's a hydraulic type.

edited price

I was leaning toward the handy power lift but realized the on ramp looks to be half the width of the table (accident waiting to happen?). So I'm going to get the pro cycle, besides the table is 13" longer.

Thanks for the input guys.....

I could not find any example pics of how these lifts are used with sportbike? How are you guys doing it? pics please

Thanks,

What is the way to go...pump up by foot or hook up a air hose and step on the box? I have seen both, just wondering if the extra hardware is worth the cash to buy it?

I'm looking for a good deal on an air operated Handy. They have greasable bushings, high lift, and wide floor stance for stability. Made in USA, but darn pricey. But I look at it like this, you have a $10k or more invested in a bike sitting on it, why get cheap on the lift? It is like buying cheap tires, what's your life worth?

The handy power lift sells for 595 including wheel vise. The price is ok, just the width of the ramp I don't care for.
