Happy 60th Birthday to Me!

Actually, I turned 60 in December. But it's taken me this long to decide what I wanted. These were the finalists:

1. Black 2022 Busa.
Pro: It's a really nice bike. Saw a silver one and drooled on it (sorry to whoever it was sold to!)
Con: I'd still probably choose the BMW 1250 for most rides and my Gen 2 is amazing. Besides looking at engine work on the Gen 2, which would make it alot better than the Gen 3.

2. Lever Action Henery Long Ranger - 556:
Pro: I like cowboy stuff (born in Texas).
Con: Useless given the quality of my arsenal. Not out yet either. And the Henry's are really small in my hands. Pretty cheap, not really a 60th level reward for existing for 60 years is it?

3. CZ 75 TS Orange in 9mm + competition shooting classes.
Pro: Whoops, I just had a premature ejac!
Con: Only good for targets/competition - way too heavy for defense. Yes, @Bumblebee targets can get old.

4. Ford Lightning F-150
Pro: Man what an amazing truck. This cool and green too? That's like a bikini model with a great personality.
Con: It'll be a Ford, you know (recalls). Also, a pipe dream right now, remember the Bronco? Lotta bucks too.

And the winner is:

Haven't shot it yet, but this gun feels super high quality. The controls are smooth and affirmative. This is the most expensive gun (pistol) I've owned and I already appreciate the feel. The trigger is light and super quick. It is heavy though, really crazy heavy compared to the Glock. But it is absolutely beautiful. I'll let you know how it shoots soon.

Great gift choice! I once went to the range with a group of coworkers and we agreed on bringing all we had so everyone got to try different firearms and I fell in love with a delta elite in 10mm. That thing made me look like a great shooter. That firearm left me with the desire to take some classes and get an entry level 1911 style toys. I’m sure you’ll enjoy your classes and happy late birthday!! (Mine was in December too, but I’m a little younger than you. Hahaha!)

Happy belated birthday, brotha! The best gift is truly that you have the option to choose a gift. I have to make a decision soon about a birthday gift soon, so we'll see how it goes. Enjoy that CZ! Not a big gun person, but do have a few. Maybe I'll start looking that direction.

Congrats on the new family member....I've shot other CZ products and they seemed pretty well put together and robust..

I find heavier handguns to be better shooters, they are easier for me to stay on target than a lighter weapon is.

.....and.....not only paper targets get old....
