The only state that busa's are easy to get is california. THats because of the emission restrictions. Most californians in the know buy out of state then take them back. The californa busa's have 20 less horsepower. You aren't from california are you.....??

VegasDude, where did you get your information that the CA 'busas are 20-30 HP down relative to their 49-state brethren? I've never heard it anywhere else (and my butt tells me it's not true).

Insofar as I know, the only difference between a CA busa and a 49-state busa is an "Evaporative Emission Control System", which consists of some extra valving to the injector bodies (to burn the gas vapor collected from the gas tank) and a "canister". The idea is to burn off the gas vapors from the fuel tank, rather than venting them to atmosphere. This extra hardware takes up enough volume that the CA bike holds 1/2 gallon less fuel, unfortunately. :^(

With the season moving along in the colder states it weems the supply is catching the demand. I also know of at least 4 copper. 2 black/grey in the Chicago area. For a while all you could find is the copper.

I thought these bikes are hard to get, I know where 8 of them are right now( Well 7
I am picking mine up tommorrow)

Falconer, I E-Mailed someone in Northern CA
said he had a CA model and a out of state
bike on the dyno and they were the same.
Vance and Hines said there is a small decrease because of remapping. I dont know
feels like it has plenty of power to me
