Hardbags should I

I had the GIVI three box setup on my ZZR600 (ZX600 in USA I think) was a lovely sight to behold, top box high level light, extra indicators out the back, and would still cruise at 120/130mph (indicated!!)
Boxes very robust and hard wearing
I have thought about getting the kit for the Busa......But they don't make a fitting kit for the Wingrack2 (what I bought for the ZZR)
Acording to our local sales rep Max, they won't be making one in the near future either, because the *** end of the Busa is too big to go around, and he reckoned that Busa owners wouldn't keep under the recommended max speed limit!!
Having said that, GIVI say that just the tubular fitting kit will fit the Busa, although, in my opinion, this looks like a pair of dirty socks without the Hard Luggage on to hide it!!
Get a trailer!!!!!or get your pillion to wear a 100L rucksack!!

Givi is a great choice if thats the way you go...excellent quality...also pricey. I also thought the same as you but decided to go a different route and bought a excellent used ST 1100 honda. By far not a busa but for the intermediate 1-2 day trips its great. It also has a givi rear box. I have to drag out the old yamaha venture for the long hauls...after a busa it pretty much sucks in the mountains....I`d like to know if you work something out with the givi hard bags....

Do you think I am looney? I have been contemplating putting bags on the Busa and right now the best option I have come to is to go with Givi Hardbags. I take two or three day roadtrips where we camp out most nights and I am about 50% of the time going two up. The more I look into it the more purchasing The hardbag setup makes sense. I realize you guys out there who think of this bike as being only a sportbike and are doing whatever you can to save weight. This goes against your whole perception of the bike but lets face it this bike is never going to be light enough to compete with an R-1 or GSXR-750 in the real tight stuff. Let me know your opinion.

Bags are sometime a must but so ugly.I to am trying to find something thats looks acceptable on the BUSA.

I use a Givi Maxia 50 on the back of my busa. It has a backrest so I don't lose the wife on takeoff.
I've asked corbin already about the beetle bags and they said they had no plans to make them.

I have sent requests to Corbin and also spoke to them at Daytona about the Beetle Bags. I've gotten different answers depending upon who I talk to. In email, they said, "stay tuned, we're thinking about it" but at Daytona, the guy said there were no plans for making them for the Hayabusa.

I think the Corbin Beetle Bags with a Givi center trunk would work great. Only problem is fuel range.

BTW, I agree the ST1100 is a better choice for long distance rides. I've got a 98 w/ ABS.

Simstu How does the bike look when you do not have the trunk on. I mean are the mounts obtrusive and ugly by themselves? I was hoping to be able to use the wingrack mounts but alas not able to. So if I put the setup on I have to use there tube mount they look in the catalog as being a lot more hardware on the bike that way a little concerned how the bus will lok when riding without the bags

When you remove the bag the top plate is left which is not ideal. The backrest is only a rubber padding that sticks to the front of the top box. The details are on the givi site - www.givi.it
