I just got my Busa this past weekend, and the first thing I wanted to do was hardwire my radar detector that's been going from bike to bike.
After searching some threads I found this one that shows the optimal spot for tapping into power and ground:
The hardest part of the whole operation was removing the right top panel next to the guages... since I'm not familar with the bike yet, I took my time.
It also helped to remove the windscreen. But I was able to get some small spade connectors and they fit right into the fitting. The wire runs very nicely up to above the dash.. I can shorten it or lengthen it easily for a clean look.
