Thrasherfox has that vest. Email him if you would like a review. I haven't seen him around much lately.

Also check newenough.com I think they sell it and a few other back protectors. I bought an alpinestars spine protector because they said it fits bigger doods better than that ICON vest does.

I think Thrasher addressed the sizing regarding the vest in his review, but can't remember if he said they ran small or not.

I've got one also.. Haven't gotten to ride with it yet.

It feels fine under my coat and such. Fairly sturdy. I wish it would offer more kidney protection though. It needs to come down about 4 more inches and have some GP style armor down there in the sides.

Other than that, it's pretty neat. I'm 6'0 and about 200 pnds. It got enough adjustment to make it comfortable for me.

well,, my other complaint was that they could have really put ALOT of protection into this thing and they really didn't. ..

the spine protector is fine, I got no problems there.. but they had the oppurtunity to really add some protection and they just kinda glossed over it. Like the kidney thing would have been easy to do, but they didn't for whatever reason.. could have added some shoulder protection too, but again.. they just sorta put some thin foam stuff and dressed it up a little.

I'd buy it again though. it's still got more protection than a typical spine protector even if it is sorta minimalistic foam padding.

Oh yeah, i wish the chest pad thing was thicker, and larger.

it looks bigger in the picture than it does in person..

looking at the picture you see the side protection coming down to your waist.. in actuallity it barely covers the bottom of your ribs. .

now tell me.. how much harder would it have been to brought that down about 3-4 inches. put some armor around your kidneys and integrated that into the spine protector?

uhhg.. I'd love to design some safety gear.. hehe we'd all look like friggin' robo-cop.

It looks like it may create a great deal of sweat on a Hot Day in July, downtown Houston?

It looks like good protection in a crash!

You may want to look at dianise (SP) My son has one of their under armor shirts and it is really cool. All mesh and it fits really nice with front and back body protection along with shoulder and elbow armor. Designed for wearing leathers without armor. I think he paid upwards of $200 for his though. But IMO it's leaps and bounds ahead of the Icon vest! Check it out on their website.

sweet thanks, yes I had many mags with the vest in it so I typed it in and newenough site came up. I am 5'11 180lbs with broad shoulders. I will check out other vests aswell though Tuf

Thanks pure_ego, I may still get this item. good review. If you guys ever seen the Jock Rocket Phoenix 3.0 jacket then you know I probably would not need this, but you can never have tooo much protection. It has massive high density protection for elbows, back, shoulders. Sport mesh with inner linning

mine is the same color aswell

hehe, I don't want anymore foam.. i want 2 inche steel with a small foam backing.

haha. I'm gonna get myself one of those inflatable bubbles to wear while riding..

yeah it'll be a tad harsh on the aerodynamics, and I may bounce for miles if I do crash.. somebody stop me!

lol thats a funny thought. Hey, do they make a jacket that when you pull the string, the jacket inflats real quick?? if not they need to, it can save many!!! well maybe not if you bounce off the overpass highway onto the lower highway with traffic
