Hayabusa 2001 + governor question

Ive been looking to buy a 1999 or 2000 hayabusa because the speedo reads 340 where as the new ones read 280. now my question is that if i take the limiter off of one of the newer busas....will it reach 340 as the older ones do?

Better add that none of them will hit 220 mph.. unless you have a turbo.
