Does any one know how many miles can a stock busa go without doing any major work to the engine???

what is the engine maint.. schedual

it all depends on how you drive it and take care of it. Seen engines go at 3k miles and seen them with over 40k.....

so buying a '00 busa with 35000 for 5600 on it probably is not agood idea

hell no....unless it has tons of aftermarket parts. I still wouldn't buy it. I bought my '05 brand new for 9k.

I've seen a few with close to 80k on em.... Really just depends on the owner and features your looking for! Example..
1. 2005 Hayabusa with 2600 miles a few after market parts $8500 (1 owner)
2. 2000 Hayabusa with 30,000 miles a few after market parts $5600

Now what you didn't know..
Bike 1 is on its third clutch, 3rd set of tires, and you find that out after the fact. Plus, most of the miles came from the dragstrip and Maxton Mile...
Bike 2 was babied, always garaged, serviced regularly and not owned by a squid....
What I'm saying is miles/year of bike are very subjective! Really depends on more factors than just that. Plus, you really need to weigh in what your objective is going to be. Everyday cruiser, Weekend warrior, king of the street, etc.... I wouldn't rule out a bike soley on year/miles
