Ouch, $165 for a bent alum. mount. For that much I need to see a better picture of this unit.

I didn't pay anything near that. It may be a little easier on the Busa, not so on the TL as the signals mount on the lower portion of the fender. The pipes mount so high, you are very limited as to where to put them. On my FJ I did as you said though, I just wacked the sucker off. There was just no way to do this without replacing the trunk somehow.

P.S. It's all FYI, I'm not selling anything here.

I have noticed the nice cuts people have done on the Busa. Is it 2 fenders like the TLR? The TL has an inner and an outer. I'll look at the fiche CD and see. If you just cut the TL fender...you still have more fender!!! And it's part of the trunk space too.

I installed a Competition Werkes Fender Eliminator on my TLR this weekend.

I noticed they have one for the Busa also if anyone is interested:

(Scroll down the page, there is a photo)

Kit was simple enough. Instructions were lacking (photos would have helped). Not sure if the 'Busa kit is the same, but it make for a nice clean look.

P.S. The prices are retail on the site. Street price should be less.

The stock inner fender is cut off, and the stainless steel plate mates up with it (on the TLR anyway). As you can see from the photos, that fender on the TLR is one big ugly muther.
