Hayabusa for RC51

Owned a 98TL-R it was fast and handled in the twisties but the seat got HOT from the rear pipes coming up between the frame, same with the DUCs.The TL-R would eat up the Buells, and the Honda Twins, not sure about the RC bikes but for the price and if you like spending money with no return than go for it but ride safe.Check out the AMA winning circle I notice more TL-R's are winning.

Got a chance to ride a RC 51...great bike. I still personally for me prefer the bus. The riding postion is a little to radical for me. Crap like that happens when you get fat and old........

I've got both and they are night&day, yin&yang. I find I ride the busa alot more because its way more comfortable and *slightly* faster. The RC is an awesome play bike, but single purposed. The busa does darn near everything well, so its a no brainer most of the time. I do lover the sound/character of the v-twin and the RC really makes you feel like a hero when the road starts to bend. The bikes complement each other nicely.

I have just sold my 'busa, waiting for my RC51...Guess what, I am starting to miss my 'busa. Got my ear chewed off by my missus. Guess I deserve it????

your mrs. hasn't even started, wait til she sits on that tiny seat. my buddy has one, those 2 bikes are like night and day. the rc51 sure has a cool sound. good luck.

Should have bought a TL-R if you wanted sound with the change left over could have kept the Hayabusa.Wait till the 2001 GSXR 1000/1100 and TL-R comes out!!!!!!!Ride safe

I would just keep the RC51 for say 1 year and I would most likely purchase the 'Busa or the New GSX1000R. My guess is the GSX100R would kick *** . Imagine what the 750 and 1300 have achieve. The 1000 is well worth the wait. So for now, the RC51 would have to stay. Damn, I am still missing the moments I had with my ex-'Busa. Thanks anyway guys....Ride safe

I know a lad who traded his fireblade for a RC51, he says it eats fuel and has a real short range - don't go far!!
