I've never seen this particular tank pad on a busa yet and I'm still unsure how it's really supposed to look on the tank. Should it go all the way down nearly touching the seat? Or should it begin where the tank begins to hump at the bottom (like the dude at the dealer said)?

I might do it like the "kid" at the dealer said unless somebody here knows exactly how. Thanks.

I have one -they look good-put it where the middle first touches your riding gear when you lean forward--

I have the same pad. After riding a few weeks without one, the paint was starting to scuff right above the seat, so that's where I put it.

I have that one also. Before I bought it I had noticed the paint on the tank starting to scuff. I put it in a position where it would protect the tank from my rubbing body parts. In my case, it was a little higher than the bottom of the tank that other members have suggested.

I also have that one......just measured it. I set mine so that the bottom edge is 1 1/4" above where the seat meets the tank. Been on a year now and no apparent scratches or scuffs anywhere.
