When you installed your Throttle control, which washers and how many did you use. Did you use the rubber sleeve that came with it for the grip? What about the metal spacer?

Mine is still a little tricky, any tips would be welcome!

Thanks

Sorry to say, I havn't put my on yet!I've got Helibars, new grips, and my Throttlemiester to install still! I want to put it all on at the same time, and just havn't found the time to do it yet! I'm hoping real soon,I even was thinking of paying someone to do it because I want it on so bad, the only thing I did last week was install my steel braided brake lines on the front. What specifically is your problem or concern ? I had one my ZX11 so i may still be able to help you, even though mines not on my busa!

I have tried it numerous times with using various washers. It works with the rubber sleeve installed but looks like **** .

It seems that my throttle sleeve does not extend all the way to the edge of the bar.

When using the Metal spacer, it is too close and will not allow the throttle to release by itself. And this is when the control is in the closed position.

I tried using different washers, but this was not work either.... I heard booker mention rubber o-rings, will have to try that. You would assume that all the busas are the same and that all the cruises should go on the same way.....

If it does not work, I will send them back and order this one

Odawell, The throttlemiester is the best cruise control out there that I've seen!
Your kit comes with (3) washers & (3)shims since i havn't installed mine yet its kind of hard to maybe help you, if you can wait a little bit I'll try to get mine on soon, Anyway, you have to play with the washers & shims to figure out what combination works best, you'll have put these on and take them off a few times before you can figure out how many of each you need! How many washers & shims do you have in there now? As far as the space your talking about, are you refering to the space between the end of your (stock?) grip and the throttlemiester? Let me know how many washers & shims are in right now.

Are you still alive up there you hoser? A?
You can count washers & shims can't you? I just found out yesterday after putting on my Galpher steel braided brake lines, that their to short for my Helibars, so know I have to order new lines, and send those back to Galpher and tell them to shove them up their a*ss, one line is so short it barely fit on, and they put the wrong threaded banjo bolts in the kit, so i had to use my stock bolts so i could put my bike back together, then as i just mention i can't put my bars on, so i wasted a whole night dickin around putting those on! P*iss me off!

Those F.u.c.k.i.n.g manufacturers..... The least then can do is have the bike and try the stuff on before they send them to us.....

I tried all the washers and spacer... Same problem, all combo's tried.... I tried with the spacer by itself.... Does not lock down the throttle... Tried with just washers, not enough of them.... So, I added 10 more... lol... still not enough. The only way I can get it too work is with the rubber sleeve installed...... Must be a canadian bike or its me the canadian....lol

Say, did you say you were from Canada? If so, where?

Sorry to hear about the brake lines dude....s.u.c.k.s.

If you can wait I'll be installing mine soon, I'll tell you the set up ok!I don't know what the F*uck you've done to your bike, are you sure you got one made for the busa?
