I was wondering if anyone had any idea of a good link to a place were i could find a very good quality set of helmet speakers. I had purchased a set on ebay for about $30 but they kinda bit and didnt last very long. Any ideas out there?

I have a pair of sony and koss that wrap around the ear and work great in the helmet. $25 at BestBuy.

These are pretty cheap price wise. Plus they come with intercom that all kinds of stuff hooks up to, (cell phone, radar, mp3, gmrs radio). I bought a pair about a month ago and dont leave home without them.. just my 2 cents...

I had that pair from helmet audio. didnt last for crap for me anyway. I was kinda thinking of buying a regular set of headphones and cutting out the speakers and wrapping them in some kind of fabric and then using velcro to hold them in place. It is basically the same thing and i might get a better quality. so long as the speakers are not to large...

The best thing I've found for helmet speakers are the JVC earbuds that have the foam that go inside your ears. about 20 bucks at wal mart. They block out all the sound except your music!

this is what i have they seem to work pretty good but havent used them too longs and since they're the in ear ones they have a really small speaker and don't produce strong bass very well but they have squishy foam outer that blocks out other noise but maks my ride a hell of a lot more enjoyable especially when a fast rob zombie song is on makes me pumped
Link to the walmart page
I would however like to get some 3 1/2 marine audio speakers and mount in the black plastic surrounding the tank and find someway to have like a a good mount for my ipod in the back and and wire some basic controlls up by the handlebars

Nobody here wears headphones while riding RIGHT? I have a good pair of Sony buds that rap around the ear. 60$ at Circuit City, impressive quality.

+1 on JVC's earbuds. They work nice and since they are foam, you can conform them to whatever size ear canals you have.

Everyone I ride with uses a Chatterbox...which comes with speakers. The speakers are suitable, but would be better if built by Bose...

mmmkay?
