Header bolt torque

I know its late, but I'm changing the oil and filter and wanted to check my header bolts while I had access....kinda. Does anyone remember what the torque spec is?


Ok Google is my friend..I looked it up at the Yoshi site......14ft lbs. Man I was thinking waaaay more then that......

16.6 pound feet for a Gen 1. Apparently something else they changed on the new model.

Service Manual says 16.5 ft-lbs for the header bolts. I'd give it a little more than that. Snug it, don't kill it.
