So a little background about what’s led to where I’m at.. a couple months ago I changed the headlight on my 07 to a “brighter” white style. About 3 weeks in it failed. Didn’t think much of it at the time, sometimes s—t happens. So I replace it with the 2nd of the 2 pack of bulbs. This one failed yesterday am in the dark on my way to work. Put the stocker back in when I got home and it failed this am…?!?!? My questions are 3 fold .. first WTF??? Second why is it killing the bulb and not the fuse? And last anyone ever seen or heard of anything like this?? Can it be as simple as a faulty ground? And I also noticed these wires aren’t connected but I don’t see anywhere they could go..

Huh...weird. I would imagine it is getting too much or too little power. Mine killed two HID kits before I switched to LEDs from @GIXERHP in 2021. Lights are still bright as can be!

That's not a factory connection, somebody has been there for whatever reason, and that is your problem.
It could be a bad ground, or it could be several things.
You will need the wiring diagram from the service manual(it's here somewhere) and find out exactly what has been done.

Those crimps are also famous for bad or loose connections, they are good failure points.

But those crimps are for the signals.. would that still kill the headlight? And how would it basically bypass the fuse and go direct to the bulb?

Electrical is hard to diagnose online when things are not stock, and always start where any modifications are, as they are usually the cause.
Always eliminate the simple things first as well; is the correct size fuse in the right location?
Check to see how much current is at the bulb socket.
Check for pinched or bare spots in the harness.

The black two pin connector is the euro , or aux connection.
What kind of bulbs are they?
What is the running battery voltage at around 4k rpms?

At least the HID series are sensitive to the under voltage that occurs when starting the engine. My own bike has a 5-second delay relay connected, which means I have time to start engine before the xenon lights up.
In my opinion, LED lights are not that sensitive to undervoltage, but it hardly does them any good either.

The burning of a traditional halogen bulb could just be bad luck? At least they are not sensitive to undervoltage. Try changing another new halogen bulb and see how long it lasts, at least it's not an expensive experiment.

Sorry for my misunderstanding, the first time I read from the beginning that it was an LED conversion kit..
So not an LED but a regular halogen bulb. After all, these ordinary bulbs that promise more light output and whiter light are often prone to breaking down..

I stick to my first suggestion, try replacing a completely ordinary new bulb and see if it lasts.

Yep, whoever did that wiring mess is a true professional lol.
When you say “failed”, was it a blown bulb filament? Or did it just stop working?
Coz if it just stopped working it most likely is a wiring issue, bad ground or bad connection, maybe a faulty relay.
Is the new ‘whiter’ bulb a higher wattage bulb? Gotta be careful there too, more heat output and can damage the plastic reflector.
Sometimes problems like this can be just poor quality bulbs, I’ve seen it with certain brands where they just don’t last.
I then fitted German made bulbs, end of problem.
As sixpack said, go through that wiring ‘addition’ and delete it, putting everything back to stock.

The filament has “fried” on 3 of the whiter bulbs and the “stock” bulb that was in bike when I bought it. It also fried the high beam bulb same way the first time cuz it was dark when the first bulb quit and I was riding in the early am darkness..

Sylvania silverstar. 12v constant on battery
Those Silverstar bulbs are nice and bright in the busa and I loved them but they definitely could not take the vibration and kept blowing so i went ahead and switch to some leds I ordered from Amazon and haven't had an issue since

Ok so I’ve just switched over to leds tonight. Having an issue where the bulb “flickers” when signals are blinking and/or motor is running? I frickin can’t win…
