Last night the MoKan dragstip in Asbury, Mo, hosted a heads up motorcycle special. Two classes. One for 750 CC and under and one for 751 CC and over. Lots of rules and regs as to what could run. Not many showed up but was fun anyway.
The 751 and over was won by a turbo Busa with a best time of 8.81. The Busa was built over the winter and the owner expects better times as he gets the bugs out.
Runner up was a friend of mine on a 2007 Gixxer thousand. He managed a 9.24 with stock motor, stretched, lowered, geared, air shifter and piped. He was hitting 1.43 60 foot times and in his race against the Busa he just barely beat him to the 60 foot mark but the HP of the Busa took over from there.
Under 750 class was won by a GSXR750.
