I broke a tooth. hoping for repairs soon. what are THE HEALTHIEST foods that are not in solid form? I don't want to make it worse by biting down or getting extra chewed gunk in it. I been doing yogurt and applesause, but bot sure how healthy that will keep me until I get this fixed.
Anyone?

Maybe try making some smoothies? Drink soup? Sugar-free Jello?

Yogurt is one of the healthiest foods you can eat that is not solid. I would also go for a slimfast or ovaltine. These liquids are high in vitamins and nutrients and are meal replacements. Applesauce is high in fiber, but stick to a low sugar version. Try mashed sweet potatoes and vegetable soup...both easy to chew and healthy. Hope that helps.

+1. also look at some liquid vitamin supplements.

you might want to swing by the pharmacy. some places have temporary kits for cap replacement that might work to seal the exposed tooth. if you haven't called up a dentist already do so and ask what you can do to protect the tooth until you can get it fixed. they might have some better suggestions.

thanks for the input! I'm heading to dentist right now, but think I will be DRINKING my lunch for a while. and not the alcoholic kind :D

Ouch..... I went thru this a couple of years ago. I ate soup and mashed potatoes. My wife would cook meat at low heat for a long time and then put it in a blender and purify it. Good luck........

Woohoo! Root canal [most likely] and Gold crown! I'll be BLINGED OUT. :) Thanks. I'll be updating my diet effective immediately. I been on this soft food thing for about 3 days and I think I'm loosing weight fast too... so... that's a plus :)

I hope your insurance covers better than mine. They will cover the root canal but will only pay for half the crown which is 100% necessary to hold the damned tooth together once they kill it by ripping all the nerves out. :banghead:

fixing Thursday. I thought about buying a food processor and mushing up a burger or pizza. anyone ever done that?

GRITS  and if you don't like'em with salt, pepper and butter. Then, as my Dad always told me, YA ain't got enough Ketchup in'em

Wife says Bananas, but then, what does an Ex Model know

got some nanas, slimfast, NAKED, sugar free yogurt, oatmeal, pudding, banana nectur, and some thin sliced chicken meat. broke down and had 2 packets of oatmeal, a NAKED, about 8 onces of the chicken for dinner!!! Man, I was hungry.

Anyone drink that NAKED stuff? Man, is that sandy feeling. All soy and full fruits and junk. Like drinking muddy sand! But it seems healthy flavored. :)
