Heat to much

I just changed the oil noticed a air leak between the heads and fixed that. To do that I had to take off the radiator and change the anti freeze too. Now my engine temp is through the roof, before it never went over half way before the fan came on. Now the fan will not even come on until it was almost in the red. Something is wrong and I wondering what others have done.

Help.

You've got air in the hoses. Let the bike completely cool down, remove the radiator cap and squeeze the air out of the lines leading to the radiator on both sides of the bike. It will take a few attempts (maybe a lot of attempts), but you have to make sure all the air is out. An alternative method is take the bike out for a quick, hard ride. That should also remove the air.
