Helibars/Risers Gen2

Hi guys I am sure the has been covered but now cannot find it. Which are the best type to get and how much lift would you get without having to change all the hoses and cables ????

i'm kind of a fan of the genmar risers. it's a spacer that goes under your top clamp, you can get 19mm or 38mm. this requires no positioning of the handlebars or any of the accessories like the helibars do. that's about all i know about them though.. i believe soupy's also makes a 1" spacer.. would be about in between the two listed above

You can get the 3/4 Genmar and Helibars on there on OEM lines, but it's a tight fit with little room left. I'm actually out in the garage today putting Galfer's on with 1.5 inch extra's on them. I think an inch would have been enough though...

I have the heli bars love them and on the genii there is no cable rerouting. Also you might want to get a set of the buell pegs it really make the ride so much better with the both of them.

How can I order the custom length lines. I just installed the Genmar risers and I want to het the Helibars for a little better riding position. I just barely have clearance under the shield now, will I be able to install the Helibars without trimming, or changing the shield?

I had to trim a little on my windscreen with one inch risers with heli bars in my Gen 2.

I used the 1 3/4" and just have have enough room in my Gen 1. I guess I may have to trim if I decide to go with the Helibars. Thanks for the input!

You'de definately need new lines with heli-bars, and the master cylinders would hit the inner windsheild at that height.
