Hi Gents,

Just a brief intro as my first post here... great site and people hereabouts. I'm a lifelong biker, older than most of you, but still getting competitive 60' times! :D

My current scooter is an `02 in silver.

Stock at the moment, a flurry of mods for Show and Go (mostly Go) are about to begin--I love this stuff, hot rod junkie that I am. :tounge:

I grew up in East Tennessee and have been riding Deal's Gap for many years (long before it was "discovered" as a sportbike/sports car Mecca. In fact, my next birthday party is going to be there in November.

Anyway, thanks for having me. I look forward to hanging out here. You are welcome to check out my website: Come On In

Welcome,

I ride the same bike...I'm in Jackson, TN...I'm sure we'll hook up sometime in the future...

Nice reception...

COS - Ahhhh, you've got THAT nice, big drag strip in Bristol. We've only got 1/8 tracks artound Nashville.
Revlis - Yep, it's great being able to dash to the Dragon on short notice. Too bad the Crossroads of Time motel is a dump (albeit a clean dump).
techbum - Yeah... always learning.
jwcfbd - Thanks.
racingtider - I KNOW you're right. Fortunately, the Dragon has not bitten me yet--he only blew a little fire by me.
vincent - The Tree of Shame is impressive but I'll try to keep my parts on MY BIKE. hehehe...
dannyhirji - Gracias.
STUNNAH - Jackson, TN... not far at all neighbor. Let's ride sometime.
garanett - Hmmmm, NashVegas?
monsterspeedfreak - Many thanks.
Papaya9 - No Armor All on my tires (it makes them a tad slick `ya know). I just wash them with soapy water.
BulleTrain & Bird1300 - And you gents, have magnificent taste! :D

Now that the formalities are covered, let's tear down a Busa.

Thanks for the kind words... the shop is both garage and bike shop. I work for myself polishing bike parts (VelTune R&D), and doing performance development. Triple-chrome plating is coming soon.

The bike lift has several attachments to accommodate various types of bikes. In this case, I wanted to remove the front wheel so I used a bar attachment (with a hard rubber pad on top of the bar) to lift the front of the bike by the exhaust header pipes. The manufacturers lift bikes at the factories like this routinely and, when properly done, it does no damage. The pipes extend slightly below the fairing and the lift does not touch the plastic at all. I hope this helps! :)
