I live on the outskirts of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. I bought my 2004 Hayabusa in June 2007. It used to be Purple/Black. The person that owned it before me had it painted (very poorly I might add) a metallic black. When I bought it, it needed all kinds of maintenance stuff done to it. It came with aftermarket Yoshimira exhaust. I babied it for the last half of the riding season, stored it for the winter, then brought it out the end of April this year and took it straight to my mechanic. I work on my own cars, and have built a couple of race cars by myself, but my confidence level isn't up enough for me to do motorcycle maintenance yet... maybe next season.
Anyway, I got new tires, all new brakes and rotors, new plugs, new chain and sprocket, oil change, coolant flush, throttle bodies cleaned and de-gunked and it runs like a brand new bike. I'm beginning to do "appearance mods" to it now. I did the hump mod about 3 weeks ago, I just purchased a Tobin seat last week, and I'm waiting for a light kit to come in, along with a different windscreen.
That's a pic of big ole me in my av, and a pic of my bike last season in my signature line. As I continue to make modifications to the bike, I'll post up before/after pics.
I'm a 36 year old mother of a wonderful 16 year old daughter. I am a sergeant at a maximum security male prison. Been doing that for almost 14 years. I actually love my job.
