help?cant drag over RPM6000

Explame:i was abt to drag along high way it happen tat while i was draging my bike . i notice tat my RPM cant go higher untill RPM6000..so i go for higher gear it started to back fire n slower down...i try for 1 to 6 gear it just cant go pass RPM6000..can anyone tell me what is going on???The next day i when to bike shop what happen to my bike...they are trying figure out what go wrong wif my bike they discover tat my pipes header turn red when hot??it have been one week already and they cant figure out..Thing tat they check metre,plug,cam chain,pump fuel....Information abt my bike hayabusa 1999...a thousand thank u.....

Does it sound like it is running on 3 cylinders?

Wild guess, check clutch basket, and master cylinder, by it being a '99, check spark plugs, wires, and coils.

red hot header pipes seem to indicate a lean-burn condition....but there could be a hundred reasons why. Good luck!

what kind of mods you have on the bike? how many miles?
when you said back fire, did you here it from the exhaust or the airbox?
