HELP!!!! IDLE ISSUE WITH 02 BUSA

I have an 02 BUSA with Yoshi Slip ons as the only mod.
every time I start my bike in the morning or for the first time that day, I have to use the choke usually.......
well today, the bike seems to not really respond to the choke very well. I had the bike started and on choke and moved it forward and the revs began to lessen and lessen.

well after the bike got a little warmed up, I noticed the idle at the first stop light was under 1,000 rpms.
at the 2nd light it did the same thing.... so I reved up to see if it would at least catch up to about 1,000 or more, but it didn't..... I parked it back in the garage.
it's not stalling, but it's idling very low and it's making a small sound when it hits like 500 rpms....

should I worry?
is this a bad thing?

okay, i read that my bike has these issues, so i'm not worried anymore.
but can someone tell a newbike where I can get my idle set a little higher?

right side, near the rear of the gas tank is a knurled knob. just turn that a little bit.. it's easier if you lift the tank but it's not necessary... should be described in your owners manual too.

Taz, I have the same prob with my 03. I get the idle adjusted every time I get an oil change/tune up. That's about the time I need an adjustment. I too only have slip-ons (D&D).

I'm at 1,850 miles so I guess I should get it changed.
does anyone know if I have the 5 year extended service warranty do I get a free oil change and stuff?

you probably do, as long as you give them $30 first!

The extended warr. does not cover oil change, when I bought my 02, I got a FREE OIL 4 LIFE card, the only catch was I had to have it changed at the dealer, ($65.00), hell, I can buy oil and filter fir $30.00 , and change it myself in 1 hour, so WTF is the deal, as for the Idle adj., you can take a long, flat screwdriver and put it on the edge of the idle adj. screw and tap it up, or down, withhout raising the tank.
