Man I am try'in to switch my Stator cover and I took to bolts out but if feels like its attached to some springs inside .. I sure dont want to break it.Any tips

I really would like to get my bike on the road... Thanks

its magnetized.... tap it with a rubber malet.

.....oh and be careful not to pinch your finger when you reinstall, it pulls back hard.

nope. the stator is a big magnet. watch your fingers

Thanks it went together well... All but one thing ..I bought one of those Billet covers on Ebay $99.00 and the factory bolts are too short.. Dudes picture has them in there...?? The factory bolts do go in but way too short 3 -4 threads ..Sooooo I still cant get it back together and ready to go...I should have expected it.The last 3 items I ordered in the past week from large businesses were all wrong..( Wow its amazing how people make it thru life..)Thanks

hmmm, I haven't looked into doing this mod.  But in the pic it looks like the stator comes out witht he cover.  Is that correct??  If it does, do you have to worry about any shock when removing it and putting it to the new stator??  Is there any stored up electromotive charge in the wires?? Probably a dumb question, but ya know...never looked in there yet.
