I got my extensions on and took it down the road for the first time. I have it sitting at ~8 1/4" longer than stock.
Im having a hard time getting my launches down. I either have to it so low that it bogs, or if i launch around 4500 slipping the clutch a bit, the rear tire spins badly once i try to bring in the throttle. This was all on the street in front of my house, haven't been to the track yet.
Im still on a stock tire (though its about smoked, especially after last night, lol)
I put quite a few miles on the bike (4600 so far in about 3 months). I have been looking at maybe putting a shinko on there, but i know they dont last very long.
Is there a tire that hooks better than the BT015, but lasts longer than a shinko? I would like to find a happy medium.
Also... would a new rear spring make a big difference? I have the tire sitting about an inch and a half from the rear tail light, and i had to stiffen up the stock spring about 1/4-3/8 of an inch to even get it to sit that high (rubbed first i launched it before i stiffened it up). I have the lowering link in the middle hole, and the front is still at stock height (it will be lowered 1" as soon as i figure out the best way to drop the forks now that i have the spacers)
Other details:
My weight is about 270 lbs, i also like to ride with a passenger on a regular basis.
