Help Required

Hi Guys and gals

I'm having a problem changing down smoothly into 3rd gear on my 51 plate busa, sometimes notchy & sometimes wont engage. Different reves dont seem to make any differance. I would be greatfull if anyone can tell me what they think the problem is and what work is required to fix, also best place to buy spares from and any performance upgrades that can be done at the same time of repairs.

hi ninja

Its a low millage engine std 180 bhp using semi synthetic oil that has recently been changed, it was ok before and after oil change. It only does it changing down into 3rd so im asuming its not the clutch ? All i can say is it just like when the syncro is on the way out on a car box, but not to good

on bikes so dont know if the bike box has syncos like the car g/box ?

I know it sounds crazy but check your oil level again. Check your clutch adjustment on the cable. 3rd should not be a problem, most of the time if a problem pops up it is 2nd. Does the bike go into 3rd with out the clutch??
