Help support our troops!!!

What better way to help support our troops than to join in a bike ride with food, raffles and prizes. http://www.operationhot.com/Calendar.html
All bikes are welcome. There is a link for pre-registration to left of the flyer. Always lots of food and drinks (non alcoholic). The ride is usually at a leisurely pace through some of the nicest twisties in MO. In past years there has been cheerleaders from the ST Louis Rams NFL team, a DJ, Patriot Guard representatives, ceremonies honoring our fallen, our flag and our Country.

Our place is always open to anyone coming in from out of town who would like to attend. There is also hotels near the event as well.

Della Williams, who is the founder of "operation HOT" (Helping our Troops), is striving for a show of 300 bikes this year. This non for profit organization sends out care packages to our Troops as well as many other things for our Troops. Please check out her site.

Wish I could be there. I am trying to support our troops in another way. I am trying to join the Patriot Riders. They are a group of riders that escort the casket and the family from the plane to the cemetery. They give the family the privacy to grieve in peace.

If I remember correctly wasn't it a completely different time of the year? Oct or Nov or something? I believe you said it was quite cold that day correct?

So this years ride is June 12th? If so I am definitely attending...should be all settled in to the area by then.

Had a great time yesterday. 100% of the money from the ride is going to the troops unlike other organizations that take a % off the top before doing anything for the troops. For a group charity ride, the route and the pace was good. I could have ridden the Shadow, but blending in isn't really my style.
