Help with decision

ok here is the nitty gritty i can get pipes for 950 pc3 for 270 block offs free 85 for bmc race filter 145 for gipro/atre and 33 for muzzy fan all shipped for 20 bucks for a grand total of 1503 dollars and i put it all on...or

stealership pipes 990 pc3 339 block offs 35 may have to order rest from on line but to just order pipes, pc3 , and block offs is 1373 plus TAX OR 1455.38 but they will install whatever i order from them for free..when its all said and done i am looking at 1767 to order and buy everything from stealership but they will put it all on or i can spend 1503 and have it all shipped and i can put it on myself..the problem...they do all my work i have a warrenty for 4 years dont want to create problems after i install and they wont work on it..or any other possible situation

any inputs on how difficult to install is and anything else ya can think of

Nothing your going to install is a big deal...
So save a few bucks and have the peace of mind that all was done correctly...
No dealer will be as careful as you and no dealer will pay attention to detail like you will...
After all, she's your Baby but just a source of revenue to the dealer...

Chris, with all that you listed pull off yer lower fairings, yer pilot's seat and lift the tank... 40% of yer work is already done! BTW, who are you ordering from? Just want to make sure that you have pulsed the board sponsors - they can come up with some crazy deals sometimes...
After the fairings are off -
Fan = 20 mins
BMC = less than that
PC = depends on where you put it as to how to route it
GI Pro will be in the routing - you'll probably spend as much time figuring out where to put as is takes to install...
Pipes will talk a little work... but not too bad...
Save the cash and buy more stuff - or buy momma something nice for letting you splurge on the scoot so that you can get more stuff later!

The hardest thing is putting the pipes on, if you are woried about doing the install yourself just get the pipes and blockoffs from the dealer. the rest is easy and when your done you will know its done the way you would like. Also check ebay for a pcIII, I picked up a good used one for $200.

Don't forget to remove the pair when you put on the new pipes.

If you do it yourself, will you take some notes? I have to do this very same mod soon and will have the same decisions and such to make. It's nice to read people's experiences with this stuff.

yes mc the prices are all from board sponsors and they have been very friendly and timely in repsonses and may i add....paitent lol everyone is telling me to save the money...and do it myself..i have the tools i have the knowledge...i just didnt want to have the stealership to say...NO WE WONT WORK ON IT NOW AND YOUR WARRENTY IS VOID...know what i mean

More than likely if you do it yourself the dealer will void your warrenty. I hate to say it but if you have alot of time left on your warrenty i'd let the dealer do it. I think that Jester is a dealer ask him if this will void it.

well like i told ya on the phone bro, if you're worried about the security issue, and since you bought the extended warranty i'm sure you are, have the dealer do it. Other than that, get some brew, and some tunes and we'll wrench that mo fo all day long if we have to
