Hi guys,
I just signed up as a new member. I have a 2000 Busa with 7K miles on it.
My problem is with the fuel sending unit installation.
When I bought the bike the fuel tank was full of rust. Yesterday, I cleaned the tank and managed to remove the rust and all other crap inside. When it was time to re-install the fuel sending unit (or float) I could not remember the orientation. By the way, I have the one with the square base with 4 mounting holes and two lead wires. So eventually I decided to mount it with the two lead wires next to the fuel petcock hoping it was the correct orientation. I hooked up everything up making sure to connect the fuel sending unit properly. When I fired the bike up, I got a C92 error code and the FI light lit (not blinking).
I looked everywhere on the internet but I could not find a pic of a 2000 Busa fuel tank underside with the float installed. Does anyone, by chance, know the correct position of the float or perhaps a pic of their tank's underside?
Thank you so much for any help.
Regards.
