OK, so what am I doing wrong, I have the 2006 limited hayabusa, with TRE, K&N air filter, Full Yosh race duplex set up and the pc3 usb, on the dyno I go to I am getting 159.5 rwhp at 96.8 ft pounds of torq. I used the MAP from power commander.com for the set up I have

All the websites say that what I am supposed to get with the stock set up?? I am confused shouldnt I be in the high 160s if not low 170s with all those mods??

And does anyone know where I might get a better map??

Please help or inform... DK

Custom map will help, also you have to remeber that all Dynos read different. mid 160s RWHP is about adverage with the mods you have, seen some bikes hit the low 170s with those mods BUT that's very rare. With pipe and what you have it sounds a bit low, but like i said might be the dyno.

also from just about everyone i've talked to lose the K&N filter. the stock filter actually breathes better (that's comming from alot of members on the board, and a few tech's locally that do dyno tuning on busas) The BMC race filter is the only aftermarket filter i know of that breathes better than the stock 1 (not saying there are not more, just saying that that's the only 1 i know of)

+1 on the custom map - and also that dynos are different. Where was your bike run? If you can do it at a DynoJet tuning center, that way if the map you have isn't right they can at least recomend a better one.

That is about the same numbers i had with my old Yoshi setup. I was disappointed as well, I even had a custom map.

How many miles are on the bike? It may not be broken in yet.

Air density has alot to do with HP numbers. Elevation kills HP, are your numbers "corrected" or just a reading?

Before you spend more money on another exhaust or other performance parts you should consider taking it to another tuner, it may be the map or the dyno. Either way, how many other bikes do you ride with that have 160 rwhp, it is more than enough power to have a blast.

Dyno's do vary...but those are about the right #'s for the mods you have

A stock bike will run 150 plus or minus 5....bikes vary too

Don't get caught up in the NUMBERS game, if your bike runs strong and your happy with it, who cares what the # is

it only has about 600 miles on it so far... but from what i see and read I am right in there with the rest of the averages, but i am trying to build a good drag bike and a smooth streetbike.. I am gonna throw some nos on it and see what happens, just want to get into the low 9s or high 8s would be so cool on street legal bike!!

Thanks for all the resoonses look forward to chatting some more
