it doesnt come off. The lens just slips over the existing one.

This one does not install that way, I have to remove the existing lens and housing

Oh Im Sorry. Thought you were talking about rear tail light. The rear signals move to the inside of the housing and the lens goes on the outside. The long screws you got with the kits attaches throught the new lens on the outside and the old one on the inside of the side fender housing thingy.

If you dont take the side housing off, then you have to kinda turn it side ways and work it around a bit to get it to fit in there.

If I remember the directions were a lil screwy. And the fit isnt 100% ACCURATE either.

Dude...I can help you.

It's a beotch, but the stock ones twist into the pod and are secured using the longer bolt supplied with the HBR lens kit.

The bolt goes from the outside, through the lens cover and into the stock light which is resting inside.

VERY IMPORTANT: You have to take those metal clips off from the stock install to do the aftermarket.

OK, well...if you haven' taken the entire tail section (plastics) off the bike, you need to do that.

Thanks for the responses guys, got it finished about 1:30 this morning. Very crappy instructions for one thing. I am sure that Clear alternatives will have a better set up than this. Can't wait to see what they come up with.

Hold on...I'll put a pic here to show you what they came up with...

Here it is...on the left, in my hand, next to the stock front directional. As you can see, it's identical to the stock piece but with smoke fascia. That's how C/A does it.

Very nice. Haven't installed them as yet.

I'd prefer them to be a little darker too...I see you've got the CA fronts. Look good. I love mine. Totally adds to the visual 'flow'.

I like the way HBR's transform the tail section...but like you... I'm on the instructions.
