Dam fork seals are leaking!

On my way to Ohlins, for parts!

Wahhhhh. Just drink up :drink:. It is probably not the only set of fork seals you will do this week

I need a drink too. When Cycle Gear rebalnaced my wheel (For free) they used the wrong size tool, and crushed the oil seal against the Bearing ARRRGH!!!!! Now I Gotta see if I can get that seal replaced tomorrow...

This is one reason why, I do all my work on Bikes, Cars, Trailer Etc. Two weeks before any sort of trips, So I don't run into last min problems. :banghead: Nothing like fixing something the night before, and have to put it to the test on a Long Trip.

I know what you mean; i found my rotor problem 2 weeks ago. I am just hoping my local dealer keeps seals in stock and can do this on short notice, and hope the bearing isn't screwed up too.....:please:

Keith there is also a bearing specialty shop there in Nashville. Been so long I don't remember where but I wanna say it was on Murfreesboro rd somewhere? Our bakery had a lot of specially made intl equipment and Everytime I needed anything they had it.

Well $305 dollars later at Ohlin's i now have the 2 tool need to rebuild these forks anytime!

Good luck I can save you a phone call to Motion Industries on Brick Church They dont carry em but they did have some 6205Z front wheel bearings that I just installed last Friday.

What you may wanna do is check other models such as ZX, CBR R1 R6 and see if they also use the 6205 bearing this will broaden your chances rather then asking front seals for an 08 Busa

I give up. I will be riding my gixxer 1k at the bash. Even when I put the wheel back on with new pads and new rotors, the dang thing does not line up right. Something internal to the wheel must be messed up., or it's been messed up since I've had it but I never noticed it til now.

this is with new pads, and $500 worth of new wave rotors; pulled straight off the rotor after closing the brake. The clutch side just will not line up right..:banghead:

Chrome Plating on the wheels Chrome is thicker on the one lip.. Grind the chrome off with a dremel tool

Chances are you wont get it even all the way around causing a warp sensation when brakes are applied..

Maybe it's just been like this all this time and I never noticed...

I am betting money if you put an OEM wheel rotor combo on and pump of the calipers the problem will be resolved. Keith you can ride your Hayabusa I just wouldnt let the brake pads wear down to the point that the inner caliber starts rubbing the new purteeeee rotors you have.. but a 3-4 day ride isnt going to hurt a thing.. Load ol Blue up!!! I would be curious to know if you would to buy some thin shims and place them behind the rotor (front brake lever side of the rotor) This would be the other option of the fix and be perfectly safe! Be much easier then trying to shave down the chrome.
