I've just about had it with the rear sets on the 'busa.. I've got to figure something out... I keep scraping the rear brake lever... I can't seem to get it high enough.. I had the buell peg mod.. thought that was the problem.. so I removed em'. removed the rubber thing from the stockers, and put those on... put the brake lever higher than it really should be... and same problem..

get into a right hander pretty good,, and SCREEEEEKKKKKK

now if it was the peg it wouldn't bother me so much.. but when the lever starts touching.. it doesn't give like the peg would .. it starts pushing up on the bike, upsetting the whole thing.. When it hits hard enough to cause problems it normally causes the front tire to start pushing... or try to wash.. I caught it once today... and I've done it a few other times... and quite frankly... my luck is only gonna last so long.. it's time for a FIX to the problem..

got any ideas?

I wonder if there is a mod.. like the buell peg mod.. only UP about 1 inch instead of down?

Wow, that must be the mother of all leans. There was some guy here that showed his engine covers scratched while turning. He never mentioned anything about the brake lever. Anyways, I cannot think of a mentioned mod but I am sure you can try re-shaping the lever. Something like bending it upwards from the middle to the end using heat. That would allow you to bend it without damaging it.

scraping the engine covers/fairings would be more to do with the front suspension being set too soft.. IMO

front end is diving thru the turns..

thats not the problem I'm having.. haha

I've got adjustment left on the brake lever... but I'm already having to lift my foot off the peg to use the rear brake because it's adjusted up higher than it really should be.

If I decide to keep the 'busa I'm gonna hafta get some adjustable rear sets or something.

.. P/E ..... I shaved mine down to .. 1" from the stem of the brake lever ....then ..notched the pad .. seemed to work for me .. I had the same problem .. didn't care for it either ..

cool.. got a pic? RDkill?

I sorta thought about just cutting it off quite a bit shorter and then putting a new pad on it..

You having any more problems since you modded it?
