HH pads vs. rotors

Hey all,

Been searchin and readin up on pads and seems most everyone is going to HH's on the front. How hard are the HH's on rotors? If I make the move over to them how long can I expect my rotors to last? Are there any good alternatives to HH's out front? I'm never on the track and I'm pretty conservative on the street. I would like a little more bite out front but never thought the front brakes totally sucked.

Thanks,
Monty

just read an interesting post over on sh.org about this very thing. The consenses is that the hh will actually be easier on the rotors then the oem pads...go figure...I am still running on the oem pads at 7100 miles but considering a line and pad/rotor upgrade before riding season gets into full swing, going with "hh" and brake wavies. Check out their vendor section, some pretty good prices.. (sorry cap, you know this is my home but sometimes I like to see what the other side is doing

) Monty...I grew up and lived in Golden until 2000 (Coors short tour?), lots of family still there. Looking forward to meeting u guys at the shin-dig this summer and tear up the canyons!!!

I have the HH pads and have seen no changes in wear on the rotors. I would highly reccommend installing the HH pads and Stainless lines, you will not be disappointed with the performance.

I have 'em, and even if it were a harder on the rotors, which it's not, that's a small price to pay for the increase in braking performance.

I figured I was making a mountain out of a mole hill, but never hurts to ask you know?

Thanks for all the replies, appreciate it.

Dude, we're looking forward to having you guys out. Scott N (5280busa) has been putting together some cool stuff and the rest of our local club is excited for everyone to come out. How cool is it gonna be to roll into Copper with all those busa's...we're gonna own cyclefest.
