Im on the hunt for my first Busa in particular a GEN 2 ive got $10k NZ (about $8.5K US, $5K GBP) ,
I have ridden a Gen 1 & 2 so they're not totally foreign to me.

My last few bikes included a 07 SV1000N, Cagiva Navigator, 07 GSX1400 - i like fat bars so will looking around here for converted Busa's, also pillion seats with a backrest.

Its winter down here which for me means frosty mornings with sunny days so lucky enough to ride all year round  I live in Christchurch in the South Island.

I see theres lots of helpfull stuff round here to read up on - awesome :beerchug:

Cheers Cantab

Hey bro,

Couple of good bikes down your area for sale. Losts of good ones with cosmetic damage from the earthquake are still getting sold (Saw a photo of one which had been completely flipped upside down and was resting on the tank)

I bet its starting to get chilly down there.

Its freezing up here right now

Chur bro :-)

Yeah i think ive missed out on those quake bikes - bugger , anyways just got a fixed price offer on a 08 pumpkin in Cromwell done 10500kms, needs tyres and a wof
he's asking 11K. Bloody tempted to spend a bit more and get this Suzuki GSX1300 GSX1300R Hayabusa Sport/Tourer 2010 | Trade Me.

Cheers

Yeah I would go for the '10.
Your looking at around 700 for a set of tyres anyway (Power Pilot 3 are pretty good for NZ roads) $35 - 50 for the WOF and more if anything else needs doing with it. Would be withing your best interests to get the 10.

I had a set of slipons on my bike and took them back off in favour for the stock ones. Pretty much no difference apart from sound, stock ones are quite and easy to drown out if your doing 800km+ a ride. I don't know much about the Gen2 though, I prefered the shape and style of the Gen1 so went with that. 25,000km I wouldn't have it any other way

I picked this up today NZ new but with MPH speedo with KPH inset?

Anyway wet ride home but all good , was pleasantly surprised how quiet and pretty much no turbulance from the screen.

Congrats on the new ride. If the south island roads are anything like the north island roads it will be a lot of fun to ride that.
