Quick question...

I am thinking about getting the HID's for my busa. Question is I hear of a lot of problems with the HID blinking or going out when starting. I read all the threads I could find and most people say add the delay switch. But my question is this. Since I did the 24v mod on my busa, will I have a problem with the HID's. It seem to me that I shouldn't... what are your thoughts????

no problems at all. Do the delay switch for the HID's.

the 24v system is strictly the voltage sent to your starter during starting. The rest of your elctrical system remains 12v all the time.

i have the HIDs low and high, also the 24v system,, i have lots of issues with my HID's flickering...i dont have the relay

What is the purpose of the relay? Or should I start my bike holding down the start button like that.

Chris...

It's not "relay"...it's a "delay" switch. It delays the HID for coming on for a few seconds (adjustable) so that they don't blink and damge the HIDs.

The ballast on the kit I got went south because the bike kills the lights on crank. The delay relay prevents this by allowing you time to crank before sending voltage to the ballast.
