Have you personally experienced this??? I only ask because I was thinking of adding a higher wattage bulb myself.

I need all the light I can get where I live.

Do a search. There are some ppl on here that have done it and have not had any problems. There is a post that has pictures of the whole front of the bike.

I'd get a HID if you need as much light as possible. A HID in your low beam will make a 100 watt bulb in your high beam seem like it's not there.

for the time being im using a55wplus50% for low beam and a 100w xenon like for high beam .Since high beam is rarely used more than a minute i do not worry too much for the higher wattage.my experience is very young although.I put them on just two days ago.The final result was good I can say.

I have a friend that replaced his front signals with a higher bulb then recomended & it melted a part of the fuse box were the fuse for those signal goes.

There are many known cases of 100 watt bulbs melting the housing in cars and motorcycles. Go with HID... the bulb is only 35 watts.

But, if you want "personal experience" go ahead and install the 100 watt bulb and then you can tell us how it melted your housing

I hear many complaints about xenon bulbs focusing.they do not have reflectors inside them and the light diffuses to all directions. They must be purchased with an appropriate headlight .....yet,at least with cars

Sounds like he had too big of a fuse and the wrong bulb.

Post some pics of his ride.

+1, installed HIDs this AM, tried them out this PM, incredible

HID's are awesome, no doubt about it. But not everyone can put out the cash for the kit. Otherwise he wouldn't be asking these questions.

Get some Silver Star bulbs. They are bright, prolly the brightest you can get without changing your setup or having a meltdown
