High beam indicator lamp lights up

I attempted a search before posting but I had no luck.  My high beam indicator light on the dashboard lights up momentarily when I am accelerating hard in second and third somewhere between 8-9000 RPM.  I noticed it today after I installed the PCIIIusb and went out to see if it felt stronger than before.  It did ride nice with the JohnnyCheese installed map but then I notice the indicator light coming on.
Any ideas what could be causing this?

Bad bulb or connection to same.

When the circuit dosn't complete, it triggers a ground through the high beam indicator light on the dash... safety feature designed to tell daytime riders the light is not on.

Many bikes have this feature, even Kawasaki's.
