HJC Helment

Have the 08 Busa with the HJC helment. Get the wind in my face (could barely breathe) as well as the noise. the dealer told me to use ear plugs or get the double bubble wind srceen. Not sure what to do, any suggestions ? Love the bike the helment sucks!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm 6'2" and have an HJC, several of them actually, my bike is bone stock and while I do get a slight breeze up under the chin, I wouldn't call it menacing. It tends to dry out my contacts so I just wear the breath box all the time and don't have a problem. This is my CL15, I had a 14 previously and it was a bit windier.

I do a double-bubble and ear plugs with a shoe rf-1000, the ear plugs are used mainly on longer runs so my brain doesn't feel like it's been in a turbine engine for an hour and 1/2, it all helps.

I have a dblbbl and have no problem with my HJC Carbon Vader. It is noisy but i can breath and not too much wind even with the vents open. I use ear plugs also, when I remember, or I listen to my Ipod.

I ran into similar issues with my HJC. I am about the same hieght as you. I switched to an Icon and had no problems. Tried another HJC and no problems. Could just be the fit of that model.

I have a CL-SP and I don't have a problem with wind with the chin thingy installed. less wind noise than my KBC VR2 also, I like it

HJC hemets are well... cheap, that being said I did get a CL15 that was on sale for $69 as a spare to my spare. The HJC does not offer any sound protection, its like im not wearing a helmet kind of loud. My Shoei RF1000 is worlds better in this department. But you can either upgrade your helmet, ride with ear plugs, or stick tissue in there. Get a DB windscreen you will love it, im 6'1 and it made a ton of difference as far as wind deflection compared to the stock screen.

On my 05 i found the double bubble is nice in a tuck but sitting up it puts the air right in my face which makes the wind noise worse. I have the HJC also and can't wait to upgrade. But earplugs help allot.
