Went done to Hollister,Cal for the big 4 July motorcycle gathering,it was neat to see the different types of bikes on the main street, lots of Harleys,a few sports bike,I brought my 94 Heritage down there and kept thinking I should have rode my Hayabusa,as I rode down there from San Jose,I had deep thoughts about my two Harleys that I own and why I kept sinking lots of money into both bikes and not having the comfort and speed of my Hayabusa or my once owned 98TL_R or my older 89 GXSR1100 or even my older 88 Honda VLX600 which I really enjoyed riding alot.I think I will sell both of my Harley's and move on in life.At first I liked the looks and being looked at when riding the Harley but now after riding various sports bikes and commuting everyday on all these models there is no second guessing that I was fooling myself about the Harley's,at least they started it all for all of us and I wish they kept up with the technology, the brakes are bad,the power is under rated, and most of my parts vibrate loose or sounds like something is going to fall of the bike.I'm not bashing the Harley's but riding everyday to and from work rain or shine I believe my life will be in better hands on a Hitech bike than my Harleys. As I rode around Hollister my spirits picked up when I saw a group of about seven older GXSR's driving by to head out to Bolado Park where all bands and other biker related things where happening. Now I need to figure out when to sell these bikes and most likely I'll invest the money in stocks until a newer faster Hitech bike comes out or maybe I'll get a Polaris Victory motorcycle or the year 2000 or 2001 TL-R V-twin "dreaming for a TL1200R".
For now I will be avoiding crazy cage drivers which there is alot off in Northen California.Ride Safe everyone and Happy 4 of July to all.
