damn I just got a new shinko tire.... this thing sticks like a damn slick!!!! and it was cold!!!!

I couldnt get it to spin... no matter what I tried... it would either hook and take off like a rocket or wheelie...

super sweet tire....

fst: would you be so kind as to post a pic please? i'm curious to see the tread pattern. thanks man.

I ran the Shinkos in FL. Great for straights, but not the best for curves. Good all around though.

thanks fst.. that is an interesting tread design. have you had it in the corners yet or just at the strip? curious to hear your experiences, especially after reading NE's comment.

not even at the strip yet.... it hooks that well on the street!!!!

will comment more on it as I put the first few hundred miles on it.

I also have the shinko and it hooks well. It will spin (5"'s extended) when it is cold. I like in the corners, it is not that bad. It is pretty descent, you just have to get used to it.

Me too. Where did you get it and what did you have to pay for it? Did you ride by my house the other night? I heard a bike that sounded like mine and looked out and you were going up the street. See you at the strip next weekend. Hope you can run those numbers you talked about.

yeah I actually got it from brocks site... I couldn't find alot of places to get them. It costed 160 tyd and then 15 to get it mounted. so 175 mounted wasn't bad I didn't think.

yeah I was curious when my friend mentioned he sees you going to work in the mornings sometimes. so I was out for a ride and buzzed by your place just to see where you lived. Nice neighborhood. I reconized the place from when you took a pic of the busa on the hitch hauler.

yeah I don't know if I'll be able to run the numbers I say or not. I don't know how hard of a launch you need to get into the 9's. I feel that I'm launching like a rocket on the street, but at the track its gonna be a different story. If ya wanna meet up and ride to the track together lemme know.

I think in your area you will be very happy with the Shinko's Good luck at the track...

well the report on the tire....

I just got back from about a 50 mi ride... a few sweeping corners... lots of straights and about 10 dead stop practice launches.

With good asphalt...this thing sticks like glue... I didn't feel unstable at all during my ride...

will post my times next weekend after the track.
